Ok, I’ll admit it. I’m pretty skeptical when it comes to trying new supplements. The marketing game has gotten so crazy that it’s sometimes hard to see beyond the bullsh*t. So when a friend of mine suggested I try out a product by a new company called MuscleGelz I was on the skeptical side.
The product is called AndroHard and (according to the label) it’s a “Topical Muscle Enhancement Gel“. It’s supposed to help promote muscle, strength, and a variety of other benefits, including sexual performance. When I heard about AndroHard it reminded me of a friend of mine who takes a prescription testosterone gel as part of his HRT therapy. He’s always bragging about the gel, reporting all sorts of positive benefits. So I figured I’d give this over-the-counter version a try.
The directions call for a recommended daily use of 2-4 “pumps” a half hour before training, applying it to desired areas with one additional application at night. So I gave it a try, applying the gel to my upper arms. I figured the upper arms would be the easiest way to assess any results.
The gel is a clear, whitish substance with very little smell. I was relieved to find out that it rubs in easily and is NOT sticky at all. In fact, once it’s rubbed into the muscle there’s really no evidence that it’s on. This is a good thing! I was concerned that it would be sticky and shiny. I didn’t wanna be the weird guy in the gym with shiny, sticky biceps!
After the first day of use I didn’t notice anything significant. But as the days passed and I continued to follow the recommended application schedule I started to notice an increased fullness in the muscle, both biceps and triceps. I also noticed quicker than usual recovery times. This was a nice surprise. Recovery time, in my opinion, is the most important benefit of any muscle building supplement. As I get older, recovery takes a whole lot longer than it did when I was in my 20’s.
After a full week of use I started to experience some libido increases, especially early in the morning (I think you can guess what I’m referring to). I’ve spent some time researching the ingredients listed on the label and I have to say this product was very well thought out. MuscleGelz products are made by the same people that are behind Ironmag Labs. I’ve used their products on and off over the years and they are some of my favorites.
After almost 3 weeks of use I am still seeing noticeable benefits from AndroHard. One of my favorite aspects of this product is that it’s super easy to use. Applying the gel takes no time or effort. There’s nothing to blend or shake and it’s nice not to swallow a bunch of pills. The other benefits of a topical is that it bypasses the digestive process and goes right into the bloodstream for easier absorption and improved bioavailability.
I’m not a scientist. I don’t know much about chemistry or biology. But I can say for sure that this stuff works! I plan on using it a while longer. I have to give credit to the people behind MuscleGelz. This is one of the best supplements to come along in a while.
