Fit Destination: A Canadian Fitness Adventure

By Magda and Paul Wilk

Yes we did it! We packed up the jeep and are on the long road trip traveling across Canada and the U.S. all the way to Los Cabos Mexico! We started what we call our REBEL LIFESTYLE MOVEMENT. What is it? It’s finding the courage to follow your dreams no matter how crazy they are, thinking outside the box and enjoying life to the fullest! We’re on this long trip of fitness, learning and discovery and we’re excited to bring you with us through our blog right here at DigitalMuscle.com.

We started in Toronto and drove all the way to Calgary where we spent some quality time with the family and explored the Canadian Rockies. What a treat! If you like mountains, this is the place to Visit! We love hiking and this slice of paradise doesn’t disappoint! We spent a month here and did most hikes in the Banff in the Lake Louise and Canmore area. Super cool, highly recommend it. The Canadian Rockies are tough mountains to climb, many trails are scrambled with loose rocks and very high altitudes! Also don’t forget to bring your bear spray! This summer there were lots of them in the area.

There are trails for beginners as well as expert hikers. Rock climbing is very popular here. Lake Louise, which is located in Banff national park, is known for its turquoise lake surrounded by glaciers and high mountain peaks. This is a great summer as well as an amazing ski destination. While there, make sure to stop by the beautiful town of Canmore which is less than 1 hour away. For all you Country fans out there Calgary would be a place to visit in July as the city hosts the CALGARY STAMPEDE annual rodeo and festival. This is one of the world’s largest events, over a million people visit this ten day event. Because this is a fitness road trip we have to mention that there are many great gyms in the area so not to worry guys you can get your workout in! We’re now on the way to beautiful British Columbia and Vancouver next and we’ll tell you all about it when we post our next blog right here at the Fitness Industry’s Media hub.

Till next time. Train Hard. Live Well. Be life Strong!
