Fit Recipe: Matcha Latte’

Welcome back ya’ll!!! Ok, so, today we’re making a super drink! We are whipping up a Matcha Latte that tastes like freaking dessert!!! Personally, I’m not really into the taste of tea; so this recipe, something I came up with on my IG live story, is a super delicious twist on your average green super food tea drink. — Essentially, Matcha is a phenomenon that has become extremely popular, and for good reason!!

• High in antioxidants
• Increases memory and concentration
• Burns calories
• Detoxifies the body
• Fortifies the immune system
• Increase energy and endurance

Here’s what you will need:

• 1 teaspoon matcha powder
• 5oz HOT water
• 4oz Almond breeze almond milk (NEEDS to be the almond breeze brand… it froths the best)
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 teaspoon coffee extract
• 3 teaspoons stevia

Heat water in large mug (in microwave approximately 1 min 30 sec) to 160 degrees F. Add matcha powder and mix vigorously.

TIP: You can use a matcha wisk, however I find if you heat it to 160 degrees it dissolves easy,
Add extracts and stevia and continue to Wisk.

You have a couple of options here; I use the Starbucks frother and just pour my almond milk and 1 teaspoon of stevia (I like it sweet) and let it froth. You can use a frother attachment on your coffee maker, a hand held frother (they are like $4) or just heat it on the stove and Wisk.
Add almond milk mixture to tea mixture. That’s it!! The coffee and vanilla extract add such a nice touch of sweetness, delicious! If you like things less sweet leave the extracts out… but I think using them is perfect!!!
