From the Kitchen of

Welcome back to the BamBody Kitchen!!! We have whipped up a lot of delicious meals and goodies, and today we are going to dive into some filling pasta ideas. I know, I know; I can hear you saying, “I can’t eat pasta, I’m on a diet!”  Well, today we are going to discover some SUPER low carb pasta alternatives that will leave you so incredibly satisfied that you won’t even know you just had a healthy meal!!!

Zucchini Pasta

All you need here is:

2 zucchinis

1 spiralizer (you can’t get one at bed bath and beyond or even Walmart for less than $10)

This is SOOOOOO easy! Simply sprialize your 2 zucchinis, and toss in a pan for 5 min. That’s it!!! Add your favorite spices, I like to add smoked paprika, pink sea salt and chipotle, and then top with some chicken, fish, or whatever protein you like!!!

PRO TIP: you can also make a sauce with 100g nonfat Greek yogurt mixed with some franks hot sauce (if you like spicy like me) and some spices. Pour over top your pasta.

You can also spiralizer any veggie you’d like and turn it into a delicious pasta!!

Spaghetti squash

This alternative will take a little longer to cook, but you can make a whole spaghetti squash and save some for later.

All you need is:

1 large spaghetti squash & a fork!

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Slice squash in half-length wise.  Scoop out “guts” with large spoon and bake on baking sheets for 30 min.  Allow to cool.  Using a fork, scrape sides and flesh peels out like noodles.  You can top with an all-natural pasta sauce (I like Newman’s Own) or sprinkle some almond cheese over top for a cheesy protein pasta.

Miracle noodles

They make a BUNCH of different brands of these, from my experience, miracle noodles are the best tasting.

All you have to do is:

Rinse noodles. Toss in a pan for just a few minutes with sea salt, butter flavored olive oil, paprika and pepper.  Tada!!!!! Your pasta is ready!!!

Alright, so now we have some delicious alternatives for a typical high fat, high carb meal. Come back every week to my kitchen and let’s keep being fit, healthy and completely satisfied!!! Don’t forget, comment and let me know what you would like to see me discuss and share with ya’ll next! Until next time… Stay fit and keep guiltlessly indulging in life!
