7X Mr. Olympia, Phil Heath has officially announced his return to the Mr. Olympia stage seeking a record tying 8th Sandow Trophy and join Hall of Fame Greats, Lee Haney and Ronnie Coleman this December in Las Vegas as the Greatest Mr. Olympia Winners ever!
Phil began his Pro Career by winning the 2006 Shawn Ray Colorado Pro Classic in his home state of Denver, Colorado coming off his 2005 Overall NPC Mr. USA Victory held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Phil would go onto follow up his rookie pro win by winning the 2006 New York Pro a week later setting the stage as a bonafide contender to the Olympia Throne!
Phil would go on to rack up an impressive 7 consecutive Mr. Olympia Victories and garnish two Mr. Olympia 1st Runner-up finishes during his Pro Career which has Hall of Fame written all over it: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phil_Heath
Following Phil’s last Olympia and 1st Runner-up placing in 2018 to eventual winner, Shawn Rhoden, Phil would disappear from the bodybuilding landscape and undergo a second abdominal surgery.
Fast forward to 2020 and The Gift is Back!
Phil announced on his Social Media that he had “Unfinished Business” and is now committed to making history this December at Planet Hollywood’s Zappos Theater. The Comeback Announcement has now been confirmed by the IFBB Pro League!
This years line-up will showcase former Mr. Olympia Winners in the form of Phil & Dexter Jackson. This line-up will also include the return of 7X 212 Olympia Showdown Champion, James “Flex” Lewis all vying for the 2020 title presently held by last years champion and 15th Mr. Olympia Winner in 55 year history, Brandon Curry.
